Take the Generosity Challenge

God's Way with MoneyHi.  I’m Pastor Guy.

I’m helping Christians create financial margin to give more generously and enjoy life again!

WANT THAT FOR YOUR LIFE?

Take the Generosity Challenge

I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU

Have you ever said, “I wish I could give more, but I just can’t?”  Most Christians have said that.

Perhaps a missionary visited your church and God stirred your heart to give, but weren’t sure how you’d feed your own kids that week if you did give.

Sadly, giving as generously as we want to is rarely within reach.

Our future money is already promised to credit card debt, car loans, home mortgages, and on and on it goes.

The results of our lack of giving causes churches to be underfunded, nonprofits to operate in the red, children and elderly to go without basic needs – all while living in the wealthiest time period in history, buried in a pile of debt and stuff.

If you ever find yourself saying one of the following statements, you’re in the right place:

If I had more ______ I would give more to _______.

That’s heartbreaking!  I wish I could help  ______.

They say it’s only $30 per month…but they’ve never seen my month.

Tithe a full 10% to my church?  Impossible.

It’s time to start giving how you truly want to give!

My goal with Cheerful Money is to help you create financial margin to more generously share God’s blessings.

Why Cheerful?  Because God loves a cheerful giver.  It’s rooted in 2 Corinthians 9:7.  Read more about how God loves a cheerful giver.

We are a community of givers who are tired of letting their money create worry and stress in their life, and are instead ready to handle their money cheerfully.

Part of that strategy is striving to become a cheerful giver TODAY!  No matter what your financial snapshot looks like.

It’s time to start enjoying your money again!  Committing to give is the best way, because it’s God’s way.

I’m a giver and you should be too.  At least I strive to be.

As the full-time, weekly teaching pastor at my local church, giving is often on my mind.  No, it’s not because I live on ‘pass-the-plate’ money (we actually don’t do that).  No, it’s not because I need a raise.  No, it’s not because we’re starting a building project.

Giving is on my mind as a pastor because it’s the best window into a persons heart.  Yes.  It’s true.  How and if we give of your time, talent and treasure is the litmus test for whether our hearts are for the things of God or still all about us.

My hope is you will grow to generously share God’s blessings.

Where is your treasure?

Jesus said it long before I did:  “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

If you love the people that a mission or ministry is reaching, you’ll give to it.  Maybe (hopefully) not always dollars and cents, but you’ll give.  We are called to be givers.  To bless as we’ve been blessed.

The origin story of this website is built on what the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NLT:

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

This is the heartbeat of Cheerful Money.  It is my hope for you.  For you to give like you’ve never given before!

To achieve this we’ve got work to do.  I’ve got work to do.  This will require a prioritization switch.

It will require setting giving goals.  “Did he just say giving goals?”  I know, I know, you’re familiar with ‘earning goals’ and  ‘saving goals’ and ‘investing goals’, every financial guru and blogger is helping you set those.

Cheerful Money is different.  We set goals to give more to support the causes we care about!

How awesome would it feel to give 10% to your church next year?

How awesome would it feel to give another 10% to a local mission that’s always struggling to make budget?

How awesome would it feel to give another 10% to a global mission in a third world country?

What if your goal was to give 1/3, save 1/3, and live on 1/3 of your income?  Wow!  That’s moving the needle!

Let’s think even bigger!  What if your goal was to give 90% and live on 10%?  Impossible?  With the right plan and the right heart it’s not impossible.  You and I would be surprised how many people achieve that level of generosity.

Why not you?

Are you ready  to start generously sharing God’s blessings?

I’ll send you my free Giving Goals Spreadsheet to get you started!
